Hypnotherapy

About Hypnotherapy

Clinical Hypnotherapy is not the same as Stage Hypnotherapy as seen on the television or stage.  During Clinical Hypnotherapy you can expect to enter a deep state of relaxation, where you will at all times remain fully conscious and fully aware of what is said and what you may say.

You cannot be made to do or say anything against your will while in a deep state of relaxation. You will always be in complete control. You cannot get stuck under hypnosis.

Basically, it is a natural state of deep physical relaxation and heightened subconscious awareness. Hypnosis can feel a bit like day-dreaming. It tunes into the subconscious mind where beliefs and behaviours learned throughout our lives are stored. These are the building blocks with which our emotional well-being and personal characteristics are constructed. Hypnosis has proven to be a powerful tool for maintaining well-being and restoring our peace of mind.

Hypnosis has been recognised as a complementary therapy by the British Medical Association since 1955.
